Dracula and Dracula’s Castle – the story of Vlad the Impaler

Vlad Tepes or Dracula as is known was one of the most important figures of medieval princes of the Romanian Country in years (1448, 1456-1462, 1476).

Son of Vlad Dracul,Vlad Tepes has remained famous for hardness punishment, as for example was impaling.The only picture that depicts him comes from Castle Ambras in Tyrol.

After the unexpected death of Iancu of Hunedoara, Vlad the Impaler took the fight flagĀ  against the Ottomans.It is known as a bloody gentleman because Saxon traders who spread stories in the West,and named him Dracula, a name derived from the Order of the Dragon received from his father Vlad Dracul.

Dracula lived in Bran Castle for several years, this castle was his throne for this period of time. Dracula and Bran Castle is located on the way to Brasov, somewhere on the route of the Rucar-Bran pass,and it is visited by hundreds of thousands of tourists a year to fame of Dracula,the vampire…
